The tree in Memorial Park

The tree stands tall
It’s the master of it all
It’s there, benign
Existing in time
The forgotten majesty
Leaf by leaf, branch by branch
Its purpose is so true
It stands proud, but aloof
Little do you know, the power of the tree
Stop and look, take it in
You must but where does one begin?
It’s looking at me this tree
We’ve connected just by chance
Every little nuance, every step of its dance
I let it rest once again, to stand as high as it does
As I bid goodbye for now, it returns me with its love
